W & D Dawson are a small family owned & run haulage business based near Alford, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

W & D Dawson were originally based at Tough, Aberdeenshire, created by William Dawson in 1973 and was later joined by his younger brother Douglas Dawson in 1974.  The business began with a singular Rigid and increased to two when William and Douglas formed a partnership in 1974.  Douglas’s Eldest Son also known as Douglas, later joined the partnership in 2008.  In 2008 the business was relocated to new larger site near Alford, Aberdeenshire.  Currently operating 11 Artics and 1 Rigid Vehicle. 

W & D Dawson remains family owned and operated with all partners very much still involved in the day- to-day operations.  Behind every successful business is a good team, our employees are committed to putting in the hours during busy times, often working unsociable hours in order to keep up with demand, satisfying the needs of customers.  Upholding our core values, which is our commitment to provide a reliable & efficient service to our customers.
